Who We Are

Founded in 2019, the African Child Projects (ACP) is a organization registered as Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) under the NGO Act of 2002 with registration number 00NGO/R2/000476. ACP projects and programs focus on bridging the digital divide and building digital societies by bringing internet access and imparting digital skills to communities in Tanzania. The focus is on 4 thematic areas: Technology & Digital Rights, Education Access & Quality, Civic Engagement, and Institutional Strengthening

Build bridges between Africa and the World: To bridge the digital divide and enhance access to opportunities through empowerment, advocacy, research, and stakeholder engagement.

  1. Transparency & Accountability: ACP promotes the value through its channels by ensuring timely and informing communications. On the other hand, we hold every resource as beneficial to the community we serve by prioritizing on creating impact over individual gain.
  2. Equality and Inclusion: We believe in treating everyone fairly and with respect, without any discrimination, and ensure they have access to the same opportunities and gets involved. This value is central to achieving digital inclusion, ensuring no one is left behind in the digital world.
  3. Volunteerism: At the heart of ACP is the spirit of Volunteerism, since our Founding members were volunteers when the idea to found ACP started. The spirit of volunteerism remains the core function and secret to a successful journey of existence.
  4. Team & Collaboration: The of spirit team work is also imparted to our projects where we work with our stakeholders and beneficiaries as a partners, sharing related tasks to achieve a common project goal.
