Board Chairperson, African Child Projects
Mr. Martin Kalihose is a finance professional with extensive experience in financial analysis, foreign reserve management, accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, project appraisal, and project management. He currently serves as a Senior Financial Analyst in the Foreign Reserve Management functional unit at the Bank of Tanzania. Prior to joining the Bank of Tanzania, he served as Head of Accounting at Junior Achievement Tanzania, where he gained experience in financial management and organisational operations.
As Board Chairperson of African Child Projects (ACP), Mr. Kalihose provides strategic leadership and oversight to support the organisation’s governance, institutional development, financial accountability, and long-term sustainability. He brings valuable expertise in financial stewardship, risk oversight, resource management, and strategic decision-making, contributing to the effective implementation of the organisation’s programmes and the responsible utilisation of resources entrusted to it. His leadership supports ACP’s mission of bridging the digital divide and expanding access to technology, education, digital skills, and opportunities for communities across Tanzania.
Mr. Kalihose holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA(T)) qualification awarded under the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA), Tanzania, and the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM) from the CFA Institute. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from the College of Business Education, Tanzania, and is pursuing a Master of Science in International Finance at Nürtingen-Geislingen University, Germany.
